Nick’s involvement with the paranormal developed through an interest in religion and by coupling this with personal experiences he was staggered by the number of events family, friends and acquaintances also experienced. On retirement he felt it was time to devote more time to studying this which culminated in the formation of PRI UK. Nick is also a member of ASSAP, the Ghost Club and NRPI approved (National Registerof Professional Investigators).
Nick has been interested in the paranormal since the age of 11 when he discovered there really were so called ‘ghosts ’ located throughout the country and not just things to scare kids with. Joining the Ghost Club put Nick on a more serious journey and the friends he made there are now this collective. "We have caught and heard lots of things we can’t explain but I think the equipment being developed may lead to finding evidence of ghost, but what they are is another thing".
For as long as he can remember James has always been interested in the supernatural which was the term most used back then. He has had a number of personal experiences (what may be now classified as paranormal) in his lifetime including witnessing two apparitions. James believes the weight of evidence over centuries suggests that these events are genuine but the causes can only be uncovered through continual research and investigation. James is also a member of The SPR, ASSAP, the Ghost Club and NRPI approved (National Registerof Professional Investigators).
Since a young age I’ve always had a passion for learning more about what we call the ‘paranormal’. It was only half way through a psychology degree at university when I found out this was an actual area of study. I undertook the university’s parapsychology course studying what is meant by ‘the paranormal’ and aspects like how our brain and senses can play a role in these experiences. Since then I have participated in courses studying demonology, and I am currently completing a Masters Degree in Mental Wellbeing. As such it makes for an ideal time to be a member of this group, being able to not only expand my understanding but also share my knowledge in the field.
